Monthly Communion

Thank you again to the lovely Sue Deyes for coming and giving The Glen residents monthly communion. We all appreciate you very much.

At the Glen Care Home we provide a wide range of activities to help keep a healthy body and mind. We always aim to support residents to retain their independence to enjoy their current hobbies and even pursue new ones. Game Days and a Trip to Costa!

We’ve been busy in February and while it’s been wet have enjoyed playing some board games. Some of our residents are quite competitive but all games were very good natured and we had a lot of fun.

When the weather has been better we’ve been out to the park and even stopped a Costa Coffee for some drinks, and even more laughs!

Peppermint Cream or Coconut Whirl?

Peppermint Cream or Coconut Whirl anyone?  Residents had fun making sweets and even more fun eating them after! We provide a wide range of activities and baking is one of our favourites. This is because the residents love making them and you can then enjoy eating them!

Visit from Evercreech Primary School

On Friday we were all lucky to have a lovely visit from our local school, Evercreech Primary School. The residents loved seeing them performing songs with their Christingals.

Our Christmas Dinner

A big thank you to all the staff who made the Christmas lunch so special. We had a lot of smiles and laughing. The food was excellent (as always!).

Monthly Communion

Some pictures from our December communion. We have a monthly communion for residents performed this time by Sue Deyes of St Peters Church – Evercreech.

Fun in December

Lots of fun in December!

Our residents enjoyed listening and singing along to a performance by Geoff Fletcher. He’s an excellent singer and residents sang along to a lot of old classics and Christmas Songs!

All residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed listening and watching Mr Jukebox (aka Graham) sing Rock’n’Roll from the 60s.

We also need to say a huge thank you to Twinnies Petting Farm for visiting us. All the residents loved seeing Cristal and Dinky

As Christmas approaches we had a lovely visit to Costa Coffee and Tescos. A few residents enjoyed a festive hot chocolate and marshmallows.
